Adelaide United interim coach Mike Valkanis has left Cassio, Marcelo Carrusca and Tomi Juric behind as the team departs for Perth.
Valkanis declared he made the decision before facing Perth Glory at NIB Stadium tomorrow night in an effort to keep the trio fresh before the April 7 elimination final at Hindmarsh.
Nigel Boogaard also missed the flight because he's serving a one-match ban.
Cassio was suffering from soreness after last weekend's 2-0 loss to Central Coast while Carrusca was given an extra week to recover from a groin injury.
Juric was suffering from fatigue. Valkanis added.
"They will be 100 per cent ready to resume training on Monday,'' Valkanis said before boarding the flight for Perth.
''Carrusca we didn't want to take any risks at all we want him to be 100 per cent and he was very close."
