Australia's overseas Socceroos contingent wrapped up their preparations ahead of a long flight home last weekend.

•Mark Schwarzer: returns home after thwarting Tottenham Hotspurs in goals for Fulham in a 1-0 win. Two late saves – both against Jermaine Defoe – helped his side to an upset win at White Hart Lane.

•Brett Holman: lack of game time for Aston Villa remains a concern; he was an unused sub in their 3-2 win over Queens Park Ranger in their relegation showdown. Chris Herd is still out with injury.

•Rhys Williams: unused substitute as Middlesbrough in a 1-0 loss to Birmingham City. Scott McDonald started and had a goal disallowed.

•Mile Jedinak: 90 minutes as Crystal Palace slumped 3-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion, a dent to their automatic promotion dreams.

•Tom Rogic: on the team sheet but wasn’t used in late 4-3 win over Aberdeen.

•Robbie Kruse: another notable display, this time via an assist for Fortuna Dusseldorf in their 1-1 draw against Wolfsburg. His crucial centre across the by-line provides further relegation relief for his side, now five points clear.

•Tommy Oar: the talented left-midfielder is in doubt for the World Cup qualifier after copping a knock to his knee. He was substituted as FC Utrecht went down 2-1 to Feyenoord.

•Michael Zullo: absent with injury.

•James Holland: another 90 minutes for Austria Wien, as they beat Mattersburg 4-0. Holland looks a good shot at winning silverware in Austria – 13 points ahead at the top of the league.

•Luke Wilkshire: didn’t make Dinamo Moscow’s squad in 1-1 draw against Kuban Krasnodar.

•Robert Cornthwaite: not selected as Chunnam Dragons lost 1-0 to Ulsan Hyundai.

•Ryan McGowan: a full game in Chinese league for Shandong Luneng in 2-0 win over Changchun Yatai.

•Matt McKay: played 90 minutes for Changchun in the clash against McGowan’s side.

•Alex Brosque: absent as Al Ain beat Al Shaab 3-1 in the UAE Emirates Cup.

•Tim Cahill: 90 minutes for New York Red Bulls, playing as a midfielder in a 0-0 draw with DC United.

Dino Djulbic will miss Al Whada's Etisalat Cup semi-final against Al Jazira to play for the Socceroos; Mark Bresciano's Al-Gharafa didn't play.
