Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan has reportedly been reinstated by the club's board, allowing him to take charge of the Sharks for the round-three clash with the Warriors.
An official announcement is expected to be made in a club press conference at 10.15am (EDT) Friday.
Flanagan has the full backing of the Sharks playing group and the Nine Network said he had arrived at the club on Friday morning.
Interim Cronulla coach Peter Sharp earlier this week admitted he had no idea if Flanagan would be reinstated, but said everyone involved with the side wanted him back in the driver's seat.
Four other football staff members were sacked as a result of the initial probe, while Flanagan was given a stay of execution, but Sharp was adamant this would remain Flanagan's team.
"He's the coach of this football club and everybody in the football club wants him back, myself included," Sharp said on Monday.
"Let's hope we get some closure on that as well."
