South Sydney superstar Sam Burgess is staring down the barrel of a one week suspension after his high shot on Mitchell Pearce was deemed to be worthy of a grade one careless high tackle charge.
Normally an early guilty plea would have allowed Burgess to play in round two but 43 carry over points from prior offences take that option out of play.
Aidan Guerra's hit on Adam Reynolds in the follow through to an attempted kick charge down was not deemed worthy of a charge.
