Manly enforcer Richie Fa'aoso is staring down the barrel of a four week ban after being charged with a grade three dangerous tackle for his shot on Ashley Harrison.

Playing his 250th NRL game, Gold Coast star Harrison was stretchered off in a neck brace after the sickening shot, with Fa'aoso hitting him with a shoulder charge after coming out of the Sea Eagles' defensive line.

The Titans star was concussed and suffered whiplash-like injuries, although the Sea Eagles are likely to argue the damage was caused by a clash with Fa'aoso's head if they choose to challenge the charge.

Manly’s Brent Kite, Brisbane's Matt Gillett and Cronulla prop Ben Ross were also charged by the NRL Match Review Committee.

Kite was hit with grade one dangerous contact for unnecessary head/neck pressure on Gold Coast forward Nate Myles in the 10th minute. He will escape suspension with an early plea, but could miss a week if he disputes the charge.

Ross was charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous contact – raised knee, in the 21st minute of his side’s 28-4 victory over the Warriors. Ross will avoid suspension with an early plea, but could face a one-match ban if he fights the charge and loses.

Gillett will not miss any matches. Gillett was cited for a grade one careless high tackle on Sydney Roosters five-eighth James Maloney in the 21st minute of the Broncos' 8-0 loss.

All players will have until midday Tuesday to enter a plea.
