The Socceroos' clash against Oman in Sydney on Tuesday night is the key encounter in Australia's path to Brazil in 2014.
Holger Osieck's side are stuck in a battle with Iraq, Oman and Jordan for the second spot behind Japan in Group B, but a win in Sydney will set the platform for the side to control its own destiny over the final three qualifiers in June.
